Walk On

Well my training has begun. Over the last 2 weeks I have walked 17 miles. I have to admit that it has been awhile since I have worked out this much, but I think my body is adapting well. The biggest help has come in the way of shoes. I went to Fleet Feet in Sandy Springs, Ga and got fitted for a good pair of Asics and some inserts to correct my tendency to over pronate when I walk. What a HUGE difference!

As far as fundraising goes, I received another $30 from my Aunt Jan the other day!! I am going to the local Kroger this coming week and talking to them about setting up a table out front.

Classes start back on Monday, so I will be interested to see how school affects my training!!!

  1. Way to go! Sounds like you are on track. Did you get Asics GT2150? That's what I have and LOVE them.

  3. I was just browsing the web trying to find some of the "pink feet" fundraising items and came across your blog. I did the walk in Dallas last year and am crewing in Detroit this year. WTG on your training!!! You can do it!
